Bathers Library Newsletter #7

Casual Open Studio & Print Sale, Figure Drawing, Poetry, a Zine Launch, Disaster, and more!

Hello all! It is FREAKIN APRIL! Time is screaming right along. We’ve been busy here: organizing books and sorting out membership plans, setting up radical new reading groups (more on that soon)—and after a slightly-hectic-February-March one-two punch, things are feeling suddenly springy.

In immediate news—we’re having a casual open studio and print sale for one of our artist residents, Robin Milliken, this Friday (which is also “First Friday” so the street will be lively in general).

We’re also hosting another figure drawing night, a couple of legendary poetry lineups, a zine release, and (in conjunction with the Disaster Reading + Action Group) an event with Malcolm Harris at Firehouse Arts, April 20th (free with RSVP). Flyers and more info for all these events below.

And, last but not least, we’re starting to host our first official member-organized events! That’s right—Bathers members can now add events to the calendar, and use the space for all kinds of things! Some things that are already on the calendar: A Sunday co-working group, a generative writing workshop, and a Riso print workshop. If you’re interested in using the space and hosting your own thing, consider becoming a member. Join before April 10th if you’d like to attend our new members introduction April 12th at 2pm.

That’s it for this month! Thank you all for being a part of the Bathers Library community! I’m excited to see everyone soon!
